How long have you worked in Travel?
I have worked in the travel industry for 37 years and have visited between 35 and 40 countries.
Why you love working in Travel?
There are always new and emerging destinations to discover and something new to learn. I love that we play a part in creating lasting memories for customers; it is always lovely when they call us to share stories from their trips.
Where is your specialist area and why?
Italy is my main specialty. I have explored several regions including the major cities, Lake Garda, Tuscany, and the Amalfi Coast, as well as the islands of Sardinia and Sicily. Additionally, I have also visited seven different countries in South East Asia.
Favourite Holiday Destination?
Italy. It truly has something for everyone, from the culture and history of its beautiful cities to the stunning Tuscan hills and the incredible coastal resorts.
Favourite Holiday Memory
Whilst on a Fred Olsen cruise to Iceland and Greenland, we took an excursion on a small boat. We sailed quietly amongst stunning icebergs that were the most incredible shade of blue.
Favourite Holiday Cocktail
A Mojito by day and Whiskey Sour to end the night!
Top tip for customers:
Try something new! Many people assume that cruising isn’t for them, but once they try it, they are converted. The same applies to escorted tour; they often offer so much more than expect.
Ask me about
Ask me about city breaks. I love nipping off for a few days to take in the sights. Many European cities are just a short flight away and are incredibly easy to explore in just two or three days.
